She retired in 1972 as a social worker for Jackson County, Mo. She was a member of the Linwood United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a life member of the Women's Society of Christian Service. She moved to Lawrence in 1996. He had lived in Topeka for five years, moving there from Tonganoxie, where he had lived since 1944. Mr. Oakson was the owner of Oakson Hardware Store in Tonganoxie from 1947 until he retired in 1971. Prior to World Ward II, he owned the Oakson Garage in Kansas City, Kan. He then worked at the North American Aviation Company during the war. After the war, he moved to the Tonganoxie area and farmed and operated an auto repair shop until 1947. He was a member of the Tonganoxie United Methodist Church. He was a life member of the Henri Masonic Lodge No. 190 AF&AM in Tonganoxie and a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite Bodies in Lawrence. Mr. Oakson served a term on the Tonganoxie School Board. He was a graduate of the Dafer School, Dafer, Kan. He married Mildred J. Rasmussen on Oct. 10, 1925, in Olathe. She died on Jan. 11, 1966. He married Elizabeth Jane Johnston Campbell on Feb. 9, 1969, in Tonganoxie. She died on Oct. 25, 1997. Mr. Daniels died Monday, May 14, at the Medical Lodge, north of Kansas City, Kan. He was born Jan. 5, 1922, in Swain, Arkansas. He was a machine operator for Inland Cold Storage, retiring in 1959. He was a charter member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle, Kansas City, Kan., and an Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Stephens died Monday, April 14, at the Villa St. Francis Nursing Home, Olathe. He was born Aug. 7, 1920, in Hillsdale, Kan. He retired from King Radio in Olathe in 1985, where he worked as a quality control inspector. He was a former vice president of the Edwardsville State Bank and manager at several credit unions in the Bonner Springs and Kansas City areas. He owned Moulden Painting Company. Charles had been a flight activity commander with the Kansas National Guard for 20 years. He also served in the Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was a past commander of the American Legion Post No. 83, past member of Wyandotte Masonic Lodge No. 3, the Abdallah Shrine, and life member of the National Guard Association. He moved to Osawatomie in March 2001. He graduated from Big Bend Community College in 1979, and the Johnson County Community College nursing program in 1996. He was a forklift operator for KC Cold Storage in Bonner Springs and also was a registered nurse. Mr. Chaline also served in the U.S. Army for eight years. He was a member of the Faith Builders International Church in De Soto, where he participated in Operation Sunshine and R.O.C.K. organizations, Teamsters Local Union No. 838 and the Western Cherokee Nation of Arkansas and Missouri. He married Patricia Ann Ramsey on Oct. 1, 1992, in De Soto. She survives of the home. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ. She was a Silverhaired Legislator. She had been a member and former president of the PTA, at Welborn and Bonner Springs, the BPW, Wyandotte County Citizens, the SW Democratic Club and many other civic organizations. She was a former member of the Bonner Springs Baptist Church. She was formerly employed by Colgate-Palmolive Peet Co. before moving to Omaha, Neb. in the late 1970s. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Tichenor, in 1986. Mrs. Tynan died Sunday, July 22, at the Center for Long Term Care, Bonner Springs. Florence was born Sept. 21, 1916, the daughter of Howard and Anna Moss. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church, McLouth. She married Eugene Tynan in 1965. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, in 1995. Survivors include one son, Howard Olsen, Mt. Carmel, Ill.; one daughter, Anna Meyer, Linwood; one grandson, and two great grandchildren. Mary D. Mrs. Rambo died Friday, June 20, at Providence Place. Mary was born in Ozawkie, Kan. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Ozawkie Church of the Brethren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Rambo, in 1996. Survivors include nieces and nephews.
