Obituary of IRVIN D. DIRKS
Funeral services for Irvin D. Dirks, 92, were held Monday morning at Central Heights Mennonite Church, rural Tampa, with the Rev. Don Klassen and Rev. Bruce Dirks officiating. Burial was in Peace Valley Cemetery, Tampa. 

Born July 21, 1908, at Tampa, Dirks was the son of Isaac and Rachel Koehn Dirks. He married Margaret Unruh on June 17, 1931, at Tampa, and they lived in the Hillsboro area. She died in 1998. 
Dirks was a farmer and a member of Central Heights Mennonite Church. 
He died Oct. 27, 2000, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit, Hillsboro. 
Survivors include a son, Richard of Tampa; two daughters, Joan Donahue, Lincolnville and Theresa Remmers, Hillsboro; two brothers, Tobias Dirks, Hillsboro and Melvin Dirks, Lehigh; two sisters, Hannah Koehn, Montezuma, and Martha Unruh, Lehigh; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. 
Memorials have been established in his name with Central Heights Mennonite Church or Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit.
