Obituary of ELIZABETH PADGETT
Elizabeth Padgett, 94, died Feb. 21 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.

Services were held Feb. 23 at the Florence Christian Church, with Larry Timm officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence.

She was born Feb. 10, 1906, to Albert and Mary Zarnowski Gronau. On Oct. 21, 1930, she was married to Curtis Padgett, who predeceased her.

Survivors include two sons, John of Florence and William of Silver Springs, Md.; four daughters, Betty Ireland of Florence, Mary Shillcutt of Issaquah, Wash., Mildred Hamm of Tampa and Edna Malmgren of Overland Park; a sister-in-law, Esther Gronau of Newton; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

Memorial funds have been established for the Florence Ambulance Service and the Florence Senior Center.
