HILLSBORO STAR-JOURNAL, 9 August 2000 Obituary of EDGAR "ED" WIEDERSTEIN Edgar "Ed" Wiederstein, 79, of Wichita, died Aug. 1, 2000, in Wichita. He was born June 28, 1921, in Hillsboro, the son of Leo and Martha (Reiswig) Wiederstein. He was a retired carpenter and Sears Towne East employee. Survivors include his wife, Carrie; sons, Larry and Roxie Wiederstein of Parsons, Glenn and Marcia Wiederstein of Beverly Hills, Fla.; daughters Janet and Milton Stevens of Macon, Ga., Sharon and Tom Synstegard of Wichita, Linda Ryder of Wichita, and Jetta and Charles Williams of Haysville; brothers, Allen W. Wiederstein of Hitchcock, Alfred W. Wiederstein of Shaddock, Okla., Hugo W. Wiederstein of Newton; sisters, Ruby Moffitt of Tampa, and Alice Mullins of Carlyle; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Burial was Aug. 4, 2000, at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Hillsboro. Services were held following the burial at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wichita. A memorial has been established at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1451 E. 47th St. South in Wichita.
