Kreitzburg, 65, Clarysville, died last night after being seriously ill for two weeks. Mr Kreitzburg, a son of the late John and Mary (Buskey) Kreitzburg; a native of Eckhart, was well known throughout the county. For years prior to prohibition, he owned and operated a saloon at Zihlman. He later worked as a superintendent of the Consolidated Big Vein Coal Company. A number of years ago he went into the garage business and owned and operated the Clarysville Garage until eleven years ago when he was stricken by paralysis. He was an ardent baseball fan, a member of the Frostburg Aerie No. 1273, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Frostburg Lodge No 248, Loyal Order of Moose. His genial personality earned him a host of friends from all sections of the county. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Sarah Porter; three daughters, Hazel and Virginia Lee, at home; and Mrs James Bone-Frostburg; and two sons; William-Cumberland and John Jr.-Frostburg. He was a brother of Mrs Julia Dickel-Zihlman. Services will be held Saturday from the residence. Rev. I F Kracke, pastor Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church officiating. Interment will be in the family plot of the Porter Cemetery, Eckhart. NORTHCRAFT 20 Dec 1944 Sara Ludwig Northcraft, 27, Artemas Pa died 24 Dec 1944 after drinking an ounce of poison. According to Dr Linne H Corson, deputy county medical examiner, poison was bug killer. Mrs Northcraft was violently jealous of her husband. He was told by her husband Robert D. Northcraft that there was no reason for her jealousy. After drinking the poison, Mrs Northcraft went to the porch where her husband found her ½ hour later. She then told him that she had drank the poison. He gave her first aid and drove her and their 8 year old daughter Frances to Dr Watson’s at Piney Plains where he was advised to take her to the hospitaland she died a few minutes before reaching the Memorial Hospital in Cumberland. Dr Croson described it as a clear case of suicide and there would be no further investigation. She was the dau of Frank T Fost and Sara Fost in Fulton Co PA. OFTEN 30 Jul 1945 Rail Crossing Mishap Fatal To Local Man Henry Often Struck By Train Here Yesterday; Was On Leave With Merchant Marine Henry "Red" Often , 40, of 615 Piedmont Avenue, a member of the Merchant Marine, who was here awaiting reassignment, died about 3:30 a. m. today in Allegany Hospital where he was admitted yesterday afternoon after being struck by a train near the B. and O. Franklin street crossing. Attendants said the man sustained severe lacerations of the left hip, brush burns and probable internal injuries. The accident was investigated by Tech. Sgt. John H. Newhouse and Motorcycle Officer Frank A. Shober of city police. The officers were summoned to the scene after they were informed a man was lying on the railroad tracks. They took Often to the hospital. Often, in a conscious state when admitted, told attaches and police he was enroute to the home of his sister, Mrs. Martha Weller, 615 Piedmont Avenue, when the accident occurred. The former Cumberland Brewing Company driver said the crossing was blocked by a freight train on the eastbound tracks, and when he attempted to cross, the train suddenly started and knocked him to the ground. Often's wife, Mrs Grace (Jenkins) Often, died last May 2.
