Harold C. Armstead
Harold C. Armstead, 74, of Poplar Bluff died on Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North.
Mr. Armstead was born on Dec. 26, 1925. He was a veteran of the Army, having served during World War II, and was a retired welder and farmer.
Surviving are three sisters, Freda England and Lucy Armstead of Thayer, and Ke'Neth Latham of Amarillo, Texas; and one nephew, James England of Thayer.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Woodlawn Cemetery, with the burial following.

Martha E. Bates
DONIPHAN - Martha Elizabeth Bates, 76, of Doniphan, died at 5:35 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, in the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan. She had been seriously ill one day.
Mrs. Bates was born March 10, 1924, in Ripley County and she resided there most of her life. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
In 1950, she married Raymond A. McCrae. She later married Lynn Bates. He preceded her in death Feb. 23, 1990.
Survivors include two daughters, Susie Keeney and Ida McCrae, both of Doniphan; one son, Monty Bates of Victor, N.Y.; two sisters, Marge Dale of Doniphan and Oma Richmond of Lake, Miss.; one brother, Alvie Rook of Jacksonville, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Alton.

DEXTER - James Aycock, 67, of Dexter died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at his residence.

Norma Boyles
DONIPHAN -- Norma Jean Boyles, 70, of Doniphan died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Boyles was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Doniphan. She was retired from Vitronic, Inc., where she worked in the packing department.
On April 23, 1949, she married Junior Boyles in Pocahontas, Ark. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Billy Jean Louvier of St. Charles and Judy Faye Boyles of Sedgewickville; two sons, Berwyn Junior Boyles and Jimmy Norman, both of Doniphan; one sister, Mary VanDyke of Imperial; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Yvette Matlock
Yvette B. Matlock, 48, of Ypsilanti, Mich., a former resident of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at her residence.
Ms. Matlock was born March 24, 1953, in St. Louis and was a member of St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church in Ypsilanti. She was a line-worker at Ford Motor Company in Michigan and enjoyed cooking, bowling and singing.
Survivors include one daughter, Tracy Smith of Poplar Bluff; two sons, Andre Matlock and Eric Matlock, both of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren; her parents, Clifton and Katherine Reed of Poplar Bluff; five brothers, Gary Matlock of Modesto, Calif., Danny Reed and Clifton Clyde Reed, both of Poplar Bluff, Clarence Reed and Michael Eugene Reed, both of Ypsilanti; two sisters, Betty Williams and Janice Smith, both of Poplar Bluff; and her grandmother, Ruth Pritchett of Poplar Bluff.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Phillip Hood officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.

Ola V. Crapo
DONIPHAN - Ola V. Crapo, 95, of Doniphan died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, in the Ripley County Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1905, in Gatewood. She was a lifetime resident of Oregon and Ripley Counties, and was of the Pentecostal faith.
On Sept. 24, 1926, she married Claude E. Crapo in Gatewood. He preceded her in death in 1969.
Survivors include two daughters, Robertha Newman of St. Charles, and Ruthie Newman of Madison, Tenn.; one son, Irvin Crapo of Doniphan; two brothers, George Reed of Myrtle and Troy Reed of Gatewood; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery.

Dorothy Bess
DEXTER - Dorothy Lee Bess, 77, of Dexter, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at the Dexter Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Bess was born Oct. 17, 1923, in Dexter. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dexter, the Dexter Memorial Hospital Ladies' Auxiliary, Eastern Star and was a homemaker.
On Oct. 13, 1942, she married Andrew Bess in Bloomfield. He survives.
Other survivors include one son, Ronald Bess of Bolivar; one daughter, Andrea Hitt of Enid, Okla.; one sister, Bobbie Brown of Florida; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Joseph Harris
Joseph "Joe" E. "Gene" Harris, 69, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Mr. Harris was born March 27, 1932, in Blytheville, Ark. He was of the Baptist faith and retired in 1994 as a salesman from Pack's Building Supply. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and National Guard, serving in the Korean War. His hobbies were woodworking and fishing.
On June 25, 1965, he married Bama Helms in Blytheville. She survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Sherry Devine of Burlington, N.J., Donna Stokes of Hartsville, S.C., Peggy Boyd of Poplar Bluff and Linda McAcberns of Holly, Mich.; two sons, Michael Harris of Pensacola, Fla. and James Thomason of Flushing, Mich.; two brothers, Woodrow Harris of San Antonio, Texas and Charles Harris of Dumas, Ark.; one sister, Shirley Gordon of Blytheville; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

BLOOMFIELD - Vader L. Link, 79, of Bloomfield died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at his residence.
Mr. Link was born Jan. 5, 1922, near Bloomfield. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter and had attended the Link Community Church near Bloomfield. He was a retired teacher for the Portageville school system and had also been a farmer.
On July 28, 1951, he married Pansy Kleffer. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Brenda Jean Gaines of Dexter; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Thomas N. Dinkins
Thomas N. Dinkins, 90, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Mr. Dinkins was born Sept. 30, 1910, in Annapolis. He was employed as a chemist assistant II with Monsanto Chemical Co. and served in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Bosun Mate during World War II.
On June 20, 1936, he married Marie Schneider in Waterloo, Ill. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include two brothers, John Dinkins of Piedmont and Roy Dinkins of Benton, Ill.; and one sister, Marjorie Smith of Fort Worth, Texas.

Verlin H. Melton
CAMPBELL - Verlin H. "Buddy" Melton, 75, of Qulin, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
Mr. Melton was born May 5, 1925, in Broseley and was affiliated with the Baptist faith. He was a retired farmer, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 494 in Qulin and the Veterans Honor Guard of Poplar Bluff.
He was married to Flossie Goodman. She preceded him in death April 7, 1978.
Survivors include two sons, Todd Kelly of Qulin and Jeff Kelly of Bloomington, Ill.; two brothers, Ernest Melton of St. Louis and Jimmy Melton of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Millie Hagner and Alpha Blake, both of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.

Jeff Yandell
NEELYVILLE -- Jeff Yandell, 67, of Harviell died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Yandell was born Jan. 5, 1935, in Weber Falls, Okla. He was a lifelong resident of the Neelyville and Harviell areas and was a retired farmer. He was affiliated with the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed fishing, collecting Indian relics and auctions.
He was married to Helen Marie Brickley. He later married Ruth Helton on Feb. 1, 2002. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, James Yandell of Neelyville, Frankie Yandell of Kokomo, Ind., and Glen Yandell of Harviell; three stepsons, Danny Brickley and David Hensley, both of Corning, Ark., and Daniel Hensley of Odessa; three daughters, Kathy Ainley of Harviell, Janie Milam of Qulin and Patricia Bruce of Poplar Bluff; one stepdaughter, Ethel Glover of Harrisonville; four sisters, Vada James of Oxly, Marlean Norton of Harviell and Sue Holt and Mary Ray, both of Corning; five brothers, J.W. Yandell of Neelyville, Donnie Yandell and Larry Yandell, both of Corning, Danny Yandell of Doniphan and Richard Yandell of Success, Ark.; five stepgrandchildren; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Virgil L. Norris
VAN BUREN - Virgil L. Norris, 68, of Van Buren, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at his residence after battling cancer for the last six years.
Mr. Norris was born March 14, 1932, in Mill Creek to Luther and Julia (Lane) Norris. He was a 20-year Army veteran, retiring with a rank of Chief Warrant Officer, and served tours of duty in Germany, Korea, the Panama Canal Zone and two tours of duty in Vietnam, one of which was during the 1968 Tet Offensive. Among the many medals he earned were three commendation medals and two Bronze Stars.
He also served as mayor of Van Buren from 1974 to 1976, and while mayor was instrumental in forming a medical board, to bring a doctor and dentist to Van Buren. He also flew to Washington D.C. and received federal funding to finish the local airport.
He retired from his second career as children's service worker for DFS in 1992. He formed the board that established Van Buren Senior Housing, and served on many boards and committees including the Van Buren School Board. He was very civic minded and spent many hours helping to better the community.
He was a 32-degree Mason and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Preceding him in death are his parents, four brothers, Charles (Buck) Norris, Eugene Norris, Richard Norris and Melvin Norris and one sister, Velma Jackson.
On Sept. 7, 1954, he was united in marriage to Mary Bristol. She survives of the home.
Also surviving are two children, Mark Norris and his wife Pam, Debbie Rector and her husband, Gary; two granddaughters, Velvet Ricker and her husband Don, and Alison Turley; one grandson, Max Norris; two great-grandsons, Zachary Ricker and Kory Ricker; one sisters, Louise Lyons, all of Van Buren and many other relatives and friends who will mourn his passing.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today at the McSpadden Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Ross Marshall officiating. Burial will be in the Bristol Cemetery.

Ollie McRoy
BLOOMFIELD - Ollie Bea McRoy, 89, of Bloomfield died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, in Dexter.
Mrs. McRoy was born Oct. 9, 1912, in Bloomfield. She was a charter member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield and was employed at Pepper's Bakery in Bloomfield for 25 years.
On March 23, 1997, she married Bud McRoy in Bloomfield. He survives.
Other survivors include one son, Edward McRoy of Bloomfield; one brother, Bob Pruitt of Wappapello; one sister, Rosa Lee Dickerson of Flint, Mich.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Larry L. Parsons
LAKELAND, Fla. - Larry Leonnard Parsons, 57, of Lakeland, Fla., died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Parsons was born June 28, 1943, in Poplar Bluff and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was the owner and operator of Lake Parker Amoco and Larry's Lawn Service and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #2295 and American Legion Post 428 in Hammond, Ind. He had resided in Lakeland since 1990, and formerly lived in Hammond.
He was married to Phyllis Parsons. She survives.
Other survivors include four daughters, Debbie Torres of Portland, Ore., Chris Schoen of Oak Ridge, Mary Parsons of Virginia Beach, Va. and Sherry Welker of Millersville.; three sons, Dan Natonski of Lakeland, Fla., Rick Natonski of Irving, Texas and Lance Natonski of Munster, Ind.; two brothers, Donald Parsons of Poplar Bluff and Karl Parsons of Ramstein, AFB, Germany; seven sisters, Marilee LaFone and Linda Hampton, both of Wappapello, Marie Greene and Naideen Orvin, both of Poplar Bluff, Barbara Foster of Corning, Ark., Judy Langley of Doniphan and Lana McElwarth of Bumpus Mills, Tenn.; and 11 grandchildren.

Bobby Joe Martin
DEXTER - Bobby Joe Martin, 57, of Bloomfield died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Beverly Health Care in Bloomfield. He was born Sept. 30, 1943, in Van Vleet, Miss.
Mr. Martin had lived in Bloomfield the past 35 years and was a farmer.
On Dec. 4, 1969, he married Janice L. Brown in Parma. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Doug Martin of Essex and Darren Martin of Bloomfield; one daughter, Tammy Sperino of Dexter; three brothers, Bruce Martin of Clarkton, William Fred Martin of Guntown, Miss. and Earl Martin of Anniston, Ala.; and seven grandchildren.

MALDEN - Thomas Martin Wicker, 88, of Glennonville, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Three Rivers Healthcare-South Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Wicker was born Oct. 4, 1912, in Adamsville, Tenn. He was affiliated with the St. Teresa Catholic Church in Glennonville, a retired farmer and a former member of the St. Ann Men's Club in Malden.
On Sept. 16, 1938, he married Agnes Heck. She preceded him in death May 21, 1995. On Nov. 27, 1996, he married Delphine Mattingly Petry in Glennonville. She survives.

Clois J. Bateman
FISK - Clois J. Bateman, 74, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, June 15, 2001, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center.
Mr. Bateman was born on Oct. 17, 1926, in Clarkton. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. He had lived in Broseley for 10 years and around Ellsinore before moving to Poplar Bluff. He was veteran of the Army having served in World War II and later entered the Air Force and served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired in 1972, after serving for 20 years. He taught at Calvary Baptist Academy in Campbell.
On June 1, 1955, he married Joyce Blatton. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Kevin M. Bateman of Severn, Md.; one brother, Kenneth "Tim" Bateman of Rochester, Minn.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Westwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Proctor officiating. Burial will be in the Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.

CAMPBELL - Danny Raye Patrick, 43, of Campbell died Sunday, July 8, 2001, at his residence.
Mr. Patrick was born June 5, 1958, in Kennett. He was a former warehouse supervisor at Falcon Communications and was of the Protestant faith.
On Sept. 4, 1977, he married Jody Lee Polk. The marriage ended in divorce.
Survivors include one sister, Kelly McGee of Campbell; one brother, Andy Evans of Gideon; and one nephew, Eric Patrick of Campbell.

Theodore Aubuchon
Theodore F. "Pete" Aubuchon, 82, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Three Rivers Healthcare-South Campus.
Mr. Aubuchon was born Dec. 1, 1918, in Chaffee and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He had retired from J.C. Penney Co. Inc. where he worked in the maintenance department, was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. During the Korean War he served as a flight instructor at the Malden Air Base. He enjoyed reading, model airplanes and corresponding with people.
Survivors include one brother, George F. AuBuchon of Athens, Ala.; and one sister, Anna Davi of Poplar Bluff; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be at noon Saturday, March 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike McDevitt officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Cotrell Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Harry Bradshaw Sr.
CAMPBELL - Harry Elbert Bradshaw Sr., 89, of Piggott, Ark., died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.
Mr. Bradshaw was born Jan. 7, 1912, in Holcomb and was a retired farmer, carpenter and painter. He was affiliated with the United Methodist faith.
In 1929, he married Bonnie Dye. She preceded him in death in 1943.
Survivors include two sons, Harry Bradshaw Jr. of Campbell and Darris Bradshaw of Piggott; two daughters, Karen Stevens of Piggott and Helen Figgs of Topeka, Kan.; four brothers, Truman Bradshaw and Luther Bradshaw, both of Frisbee, Junior Bradshaw of Portland, Ore. and Jewell Bradshaw of White Oak; one sister, Ethel King of Paragould, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

William Young
Dr. William C. Young, 79, of Poplar Bluff, a retired specialist in gastrointestinal surgery, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at his residence.
Dr. Young was born Nov. 20, 1922, in Little Rock, Ark. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff. He graduated from Duke University and received his M.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Medicine, from which he holds a master of science degree in physiology and pharmacology.
Dr. Young was the author of several publications relating to abdominal surgery and had presented papers at medical meetings throughout the country. During World War II, he graduated from Columbia University Midshipman School and served as an aircraft recognition officer in the Pacific.
Dr. Young also served as a diplomat on the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and was a member of the American Medical Association, the Massachusetts Medical Society and Boston Surgical Society. He was the past president of the Medical Staff, Chairman of the Operating Room Committee and a Trustee and member of the Executive Committee of Doctor's Regional Medical Center. He retired from medical practice in 1985.
On Aug. 19, 1948, he married Anna Frances Parham in Little Rock, Ark. She survives.
Other survivors include two children, Jan Reed Young of Los Angeles, Calif., and Dr. Joy Gewanter of Georgetown, Washington, D.C.; one brother, Jan B. Young of Memphis, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kurt Schuermann officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery in Little Rock.

Dellaretta Bollheimer
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Dellaretta McMillan Bollheimer, 81, a resident of Poplar Bluff and Memphis, Tenn., died Monday, May 27, 2002, at the Andover Nursing Home in Wichita, Kan.
Mrs. Bollheimer was born Jan. 30, 1921, in Fairdealing. She attended school in Doniphan and was employed by the Vandover Motor Company in Poplar Bluff. She moved to Memphis in 1946, where she was a secretary for the architectural firms of the late Everett Woods and Hall and Waller. She was an active member of the former Springdale Methodist Church and Trinity Methodist Church in Memphis. She was an accomplished artist who specialized in oil paintings. She was a volunteer for the Memphis Heart Gala and enjoyed round and square dancing.
She married Philip Anthony Bollheimer Sr. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two children, Beverly Bollheimer Dismuke and Philip Anthony Bollheimer Jr.; her sisters, Dorothy Marion Thompson and Amy Belle Gray; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Forest Hill East Funeral Home in Memphis. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Development Office of either the University of Tennessee Health Science Center or the University of Kansas-Wichita for stroke research.

Ralph Bruce
Ralph Raymond Bruce, 72, of Piedmont, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Bruce was born March 2, 1928, in St. Louis. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Red Cross and a retired school teacher.
Survivors include one son, Roy Flores Bruce of Long Beach, Calif.; and nine nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in the Mill Creek Cemetery in Wayne County at a later date. Cotrell Funeral Service will be in charge of arrangements.

Larry Chitwood
VAN BUREN - Larry Lowell Chitwood, 62, of Ellington died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at his residence.
Mr. Chitwood was born March 24, 1939, in Van Buren to the late Thomas Otto and Sarah Virgie (Walker) Chitwood. He had resided in the Van Buren area for the past seven years and had previously lived in Wapello, Iowa. He was a farmer and grain operator and was affiliated with the Protestant faith. He was the vice president of the Modern Day Veterans Post 243 in Van Buren and enjoyed fishing, hunting and visiting with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Kelly Chitwood Dec. 5, 1995; two daughters, Robin Gale and Sarah Jane; and one brother, Joy L. Chitwood in 1994.
Survivors include four daughters, Sherry Scott of St. Louis, Lisa Jones of Illinois City, Ill., Tammy Holiday and Judy Wagoner, both of Muscatine, Iowa; one sister, Dorothy Hamman of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Clyde Essary
PORTAGEVILLE -- Clyde Edward Essary, 64, of Portageville died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Pemiscot County Memorial Health Systems.
Mr. Essary was born Oct. 15, 1937, in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of the St. Eustachius Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had worked as an installer and repairman for Southwestern Bell for 28 years.
On Feb. 8, 1958, he married Louise Marvel in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Joseph Bryan Essary of Little Rock, Ark., David Martin Essary and Raymond Neil Essary, both of Portageville and John Andrew Essary of West Memphis, Ark.; one daughter, Teresa Essary West of West Memphis; three brothers, Joe Essary of Hermitage, Tenn. and Pat Essary and Michael Essary, both of Poplar Bluff; four sisters, Phyllis Bush of Oklahoma City, Clare Porvaznik of Whitehall, Pa. and Mary Bilotti and Laura Hinchey, both of Little Rock; six grandchildren; and three stepgrandsons.

Dennis Jackson
DEXTER -- Dennis Jackson, 76, of Bernie died Monday, June 3, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
Mr. Jackson was born March 20, 1926, in Dexter. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Marines.
On Feb. 14, 1957, he married Willie Genivea Williamson in Hernando, Miss. She survives.

DEXTER - Eldon T. Cooper, 84, of Dexter died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at his residence.
Mr. Cooper was born Jan. 25, 1917, in Zadock and was an alderman for the City of Dexter for 20 years. He was also the owner of Cooper & Sons Auto Sales in Dexter.
On Aug. 30, 1940, he married Georgia Irene Bailey in Advance. She preceded him in death June 29, 1984.
Survivors include one son, Thomas E. Cooper Jr. of Dexter; one daughter, Marilyn Brown of Dexter; one brother, Vernon Cooper of Bloomfield; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a loving friend, Retha Meroney of Dexter.

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Hazel Marie McSwain, 87, of Bourbonnais, Ill., died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at the Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home in Bourbonnais.
Mrs. Swain was born Aug. 20, 1913, in Cape Girardeau. She was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff and had been employed as a licensed practical nurse with Lucy Lee Hospital and John J. Pershing VA Medical Center.
On Feb. 15, 1935, she married Winston Alfred McSwain in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Survivors include one son, William A. McSwain of Rocky River, Ohio; two daughters, Nichola S. Frey of St. Anne, Ill. and Becky M. Gurley of Troy, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Hancock was born April 11, 1917, in Jelks, Ark.
On Nov. 26, 1952, she married Charles Hancock in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1997.
Survivors include one son, James Ray of Kennett; one daughter, Marlene Sue French of Searcy, Ark.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Norman was born Dec. 15, 1906, in Ellsinore, where she had resided for the past several years. She resided in Collinsville, Ill., for 44 years, was affiliated with the General Baptist faith and was a homemaker.
On Dec. 17, 1921, she married Clyde Ottis Norman in Ellsinore. He preceded her in death July 18, 1977.
Survivors include one son, Alvin "Bud" Norman of Ellsinore; one daughter, Norma Hampton of Apache Junction, Ariz.; three half brothers, Audrey Raymer of West Helena, Ark., Emmett "Dick" Raymer of Humansville and Willis "Dodge" Raymer of St. Louis; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren

Mrs. Lowe was born March 6,1919, in Nogales, Ariz. She and her family lived in the Bloomfield community for 17 years.
On June 1, 1940, she married Dalbert A. Lowe. He preceded her in death Nov. 18, 1979.

BLOOMFIELD - Richard ŒPat' Patterson, 59, of Bloomfield died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at the Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
Mr. Patterson was born Oct. 27, 1941, in Shelbina and had been a resident of the Bloomfield Community since 1970. He was a car salesman and owned and operated Patterson Auto Sales in Bloomfield until ill health forced his retirement.
On April 29, 1966, he married Beverley Snider. She survives.

Mr. Wood was born March 27, 1918, in Taskee. He was affiliated with the Baptist faith and was a retired laborer for the Laclede Steel Company in Illinois. He was also a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.
In 1945, he married Pearl Harshaberger. She preceded him in death July 9, 1999.

Jesse LeRoy Manis
VAN BUREN - Jesse LeRoy Manis, 71, of Ellsinore, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at his home.
Mr. Manis was born July 25, 1929, in Ellsinore. He was a retired carpenter and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed woodworking, playing the guitar and was a coin collector.
On June 17, 1970, he married Shirley Arlene Johnson in Doniphan. She survives.
Also surviving are five brothers, Robert Manis of Paragould, Ark., Bert Manis of Ellsinore, Jim Manis of Winona, Albert Manis of Poplar Bluff and Jerry Manis of Tenaha, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday at the Henson Cemetery in Ellsinore with the Rev. Phil Tanner officiating.

Mrs. Moore was born March 27, 1919, in Broseley and had lived in Saginaw for about five years. She had previously lived in California for about seven years but had spent most of her life in the Poplar Bluff and St. Louis areas. She had been employed as an LPN at Poplar Bluff Hospital and Firman Desloge Hospital.
Survivors include one son, Ken Mayberry of Saginaw; one daughter, Patricia Risbeck of Corona, Calif.; one brother, Harold Mayberry of St. Louis; a sister, Helen Richland of Hialeah, Fla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Lois E. Wallis
Lois E. Wallis, 70, a lifelong resident of Poplar Bluff died at 5:52 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus.
Mrs. Wallis was born Dec. 22, 1930, in Holcomb to W.C. and Marie Baker and was a homemaker. She was co-director of the Child Concern Center and enjoyed helping families, collecting dolls, working crossword puzzles and going to yard sales and flea markets.
On Jan. 28, 1950, she married Clint Edward Wallis. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Constance Taylor and husband Darrell, and Tami Dewitt and husband Jeff, all of Poplar Bluff; and one son, Clint Wallis Jr. and wife Krystal of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Billy Baker of Salinas, Calif., and Bobby Baker of Ferguson; 10 grandchildren, Travis Taylor and wife Chris, Amanda Ellis and husband Charles, Josh Taylor and wife Hilary, Breanna Taylor, Corey Highfill, Jacob Dewitt, Tyler Wallis, Hunter Wallis, Liam Wallis and Joseph Wallis; one great-granddaughter, Leann Ellis; one special niece, Vickie King, whom she helped raise and other nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Melberine White.

BONNE TERRE -- Elsie S. Johnson, 83, of Bonne Terre died Sunday, March 3, 2002, at the St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre.
Mrs. Johnson was born Aug. 31, 1918, in New England, N.D. She was a member of the Bonne Terre VFW Auxiliary and the Bonne Terre Eagles Auxiliary.
She was married to Cletis O. Johnson. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include four children, Glenda Young of Naylor, Ronnie Johnson and Patricia Del Gibbs, both of Bonne Terre and Rick Johnson of Ste. Genevieve; five sisters, Ida Sprecher, Tillie Rosenow, Betty Ruggles, Helen Green and Lorraine Brouckner; three brothers, Adam, Bennie and Harold Oberlander; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

DONIPHAN - Ira Wesley Murray, 88, of Baytown, Texas, died at noon Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, in Baytown. He had been ill for the past two years.
Mr. Murray was born Dec. 4, 1912, in Doniphan and was a former resident of Ripley County. He had lived and worked in St. Louis for several years and was a member of the Bethany Methodist Church.
On Feb. 14, 1994, he married Mary E. Rhames. She preceded him in death Feb. 24, 1999.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Niswonger of Fenton and Judy Murray of Owensville; three sons, Charles Murray of Baytown, Kenneth Murray of Kingwood, Texas and Darren Murray of Owensville; one sister, Marizetta Hudgens of Poplar Bluff; four brothers, Claude Murray of St. Louis, James Murray of Oakland City, Ind., Bob Murray of Bethel, Alaska and Dick Murray of Malden; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Ted Murray, two sisters, Freda Adams and Verneal Timmons, and two brothers, Aubrey and Bill Murray, all preceded him in death.

DONIPHAN - Helen Virginia Roberts, 77, of Poplar Bluff died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at the Three Rivers Health Care Center - North Campus.
Mrs. Roberts had worked as an LPN in hospitals and nursing homes. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist church in Fisk.
She was born Dec. 11, 1923, in Bolivar, Tenn., and formerly lived in Ripley County.
She married Jay Whitaker in 1945. In 1973 she married Homer Roberts, who died in 2000.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Farris of Milan and Dorothy Young of Doniphan; one son, Paul Whitaker of DeSoto; three stepchildren; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.

Leo Roderman
ELLINGTON - Leo Roderman, 68, of Monett, died at 1:42 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Cox-Monett Hospital in Monett following a long illness.
Mr. Roderman was born June 28, 1932, in Ellington. He was a retired milk hauler and was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
On Aug. 2, 1951, he married Louise Sutterfield in Ellington. She survives.

Harley Sentell
QULIN -- Harley Sentell, 74, of Qulin died Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus.
Mr. Sentell was born Aug. 20, 1928, in Dyer County, Tenn., and lived in Qulin all his life. He was a member of Lone Prairie Baptist Church, the Qulin Lions Club where he was a former president, and was a retired farmer. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
On Nov. 11, 1997, he married Jeanice Willoughby. She survives.
Also surviving are five stepchildren, Shannon Russell Jr. of Jersey City N.J., Shanna Smith of Steele, Robert Russell of Wardell, Anna Russell of Malden and Lori Russell of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, James Sentell and Chester Sentell both of Qulin; and four stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L.R. Sentell and Sally Lee Sentell; two sons, Keith and Kevin Sentell; one granddaughter, Christina Lynn Sentell; and a brother Aaron Sentell.

Eula McGruder
Eula V. McGruder, 91, of West Monroe, La., formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Thursday, June 26, 2003, at the Long Leaf Nursing Care Center in Ruston, La.
Mrs. McGruder, the daughter of the late Charley M. and Erma (Helvy) Dunlap, was born June 9, 1912, in Butler County. A homemaker and farmwife, she was a former member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. She loved beautiful quilts and loved to quilt. She previously was active in the Neelyville Senior Citizens Quilting group. She also enjoyed baking and gardening.
In July 1933, she married Wren W. McGruder. He preceded her in death May 15, 1986. She was also preceded in death by one son, Edward L. McGruder; one brother, Homer Dunlap; five sisters, Opal Redford, Virgie Arnold, Margie Redford, Ruth Davis and Wilma Lawless.
Survivors include nine children, Fred McGruder and wife, Sherry, of Patton, Norma Atwell and husband, Vadis, of Mer Rouge, La., Raymond McGruder and wife, Sheryl, of Franklin, Leah Gilmore and husband C.F. "Buddy" of West Monroe, La., Joyce Christensen and husband, Norm, of Ely, Nev., Dr. John McGruder and wife, Mary Helen, of Cummins, Ga., Dr. Jerry McGruder and wife, Diane, of Fayetteville, Ark., Robert W. McGruder and wife, Phyllis, of Harviell, and James McGruder and wife, Esther, of Walton, Ky.; one daughter-in-law, Jo Janet McGruder of Chesterfield; four sisters, Virginia Medling of Harviell, Lillian Allen of Poplar Bluff, Dessie Mirt of Springfield and Angie Lawless of Benton; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the McGruder family officiating. Burial will be in Kinsey Cemetery.

Dorothy Edwards
PIEDMONT -- Dorothy Edwards, 75, died at her home Friday June 27, 2003. Mrs. Edwards was born May 27, 1928, in Arkansas. She moved to Piedmont after her retirement as a cook for The Children's Home in St. Louis in 1986. She was affiliated with the Baptist church.
Surviving are two daughters, LaWanda James of St. Louis and Ann Stokes of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Wiley Massie of Farmington; a sister Joyce Jones of Piedmont; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Piedmont. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in the Masonic Cemetery in Piedmont.

Teal Languell
DONIPHAN --Teal Jacob Languell, 105, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday June 28, 2003, at Chateau Girardeau.
Mr. Languell was born June 20,1898, in the Burr community of Ripley County, the son of Jacob and Sarah Spencer Languell. He worked in the oil fields during Oklahoma's oil boom, then farmed in Ripley County until 1943. During World War II he was employed on the Big Inch Pipeline in Oran. He then became a pipeline inspector for Brown and Root Corp. in the southern and northeastern United States. He retired to a farm in Ripley County until moving to Cape Girardeau in 1971.
He married Jane Kennon Feb. 5, 1927. She died Sept. 27, 1971. He later married Hazel Ponder who died Dec. 24, 1985.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Hannah and Finley Maddox of Cape Girardeau; two grandsons, Dr. Mark Maddox of Kansas City, Kent Maddox of New York City and Kent's two daughters Alysse and Miranda; stepsons Jerry Ponder of Mason, Texas, and Larry Ponder of Doniphan; stepdaughters Elaine Halcomb of Cape Girardeau and Ramona Brown of Doniphan; 10 stepgrandchildren; a sister Golden McPheeters of Doniphan and a brother Odes Dalton of Gatewood.
Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Monday with the funeral following at 10 a.m. at Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will be in Johnston Chapel Cemetery.

Eric Taylor
CORNING, Ark. -- Eric Taylor, 20, of Corning, died Friday, June 27, 2003, at his family farm in Corning.
Mr. Taylor was born July 14, 1982, in Jonesboro, Ark., and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lafe, Ark. He was a farmer.
Surviving are his parents Scott and Tammy Taylor of Corning, and Nikki Davis of Paragould, Ark.; his paternal grandmother Nettie Lou Taylor of Corning; his maternal grandmother, Shirley Davis of Florida; his maternal grandfather Tom Davis of Senath; and his fiancee Lindsey Graham of Marmaduke, Ark.
Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Lafe. The funeral will follow at 11:30 at the church with the Rev. Curt Dwyer officiating. Burial will be in Corning Cemetery. Ermert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Esther Carver
ADVANCE -- Esther Jeannette Carver, 60, of St. Louis, died Thursday, June 26, 2003, at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis.
Mrs. Carver was born Oct. 1, 1942, in St. Louis. She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Baptist church.
On Dec. 26, 1964, she married Fred Carver at McGee. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons, John Carver of Foley, Christopher Carver of St. John, and Jessie Carver of Breckenridge Hills; one sister, Betty Happold of Lemay; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Raymond Schweitzer
NESS CITY, Kan. -- Raymond Schweitzer, 94, died Thursday, June 26, 2003, at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kan.
Mr. Schweitzer was born Sept. 10, 1908 in Enterprise, Kan. He was a farmer and resident of Ransom since 1913. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Go Getters Senior Center, both of Ransom, and a former member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Ness City.
He married Susie Walter in Wichita, Kan., on March 10, 1922. She died March 13, 1940. On Aug. 8, 1946 he married M. Rosalie Doty Sonnenburg in Ness City. She died Dec. 6,1999.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth of Leawood, Kan., and Darrel of Wappapello; two daughters, Linda McFadden of Shawnee, Kan., and Barbara Poage of Hill City, Kan.; four sisters, Selma Walker of Ransom, Laurine Brown of Great Bend, Kan., Dora Brown of Ness City, and Virginia Conkright of Ransom; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Ness City and on Monday at the United Methodist Church of Ransom from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 2 p.m. The Rev. Bruce Ferguson will officiate. Burial will be in Ransom Cemetery.

Paul White
NEELYVILLE -- Paul White, 90, of Neelyville, died Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. White was born May 21, 1913, at Cooter. He was a retired grocery store merchant and used car dealer. He was a member of Naylor Pentecostal Church and enjoyed his family and friends, horses, dogs and his cat, Kitty Greys.
On Dec. 15, 1932, he married Anna M. Todd in Corning. She preceded him in death Dec. 7, 1996. Also preceding him in death were two daughters, Eller Louise White and Annie Pauline Warren, and his parents, Major Boran White and Martha Anna (Tyler) White.
Survivors include one son, Ucel White and wife, Laverne, of Neelyville; three daughters, Zuna Woolard and husband, Joe , and Genevieve Porter and husband, Fred, all of Naylor, and Emmie Detering and husband, Michael, of Maryland Heights; one brother, Bennie White of Corning; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. today at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Chapel in Neelyville, and will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday at Naylor Pentecostal Church. MALDEN -- Anna Speakes, 70, of Clarkton, died Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Speakes was born July 25, 1932, in Rives. She was of the Baptist faith.
On Aug. 30, 1951, she married Edward Speakes in Piggott, Ark. They were divorced; he survives.
Survivors include one son, Paul Speakes of Marshfield; one daughter, Debbie Jones of Seymour; two sisters, Joyce Baker of Clarkton and Nanny Avery of Dexter; and three brothers, Burlen Baker of Dalton, Mass., Vernon Baker of Drummonds, Tenn., and Donald Baker of Beaufort, S.C.

MALDEN -- Velma Lula Davidson, 91, of Gideon, died Friday, June 27, 2003, at Point Lookout Christian Healthcare in Hollister.
Mrs. Davidson was born March 26, 1912, in Paroquet, Ark. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gideon.
On Feb. 17, 1929, she married Zollie O'Dell Davidson in Malden. He preceded her in death May 28, 1965.
Survivors include one son, Mayburn Davidson of Point Lookout; two sisters, Marie Isaac of Ballwin and Tish Jernigan of Columbus, Ga.; two brothers, J. P. Johnson of Melrose, Fla., and Albert Johnson of Deland, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mary Gilbreath
Mary Gilbreath, 72, of Poplar Bluff, died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Gilbreath was born June 20, 1931, in Shook. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was an LPN at Doctor's Hospital for 31 years.
On Nov. 18, 1950, she married John W. Gilbreath in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death June 22, 1995.
Survivors include three sons, John Gilbreath of Jonesboro, Ark., Kenny Gilbreath and Dirk Gilbreath, both of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Marie Buttry of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, Robert and James Gilbreath, both of Poplar Bluff; two nieces, Sandy Weatherford and Lisa Slusher, and two great-nephews, Justin and Cody, all of Poplar Bluff.

Denny Burgin
Denny Burgin, 50, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, June 27, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Burgin was born July 20, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, and was a long time resident of Butler County. He was a general laborer for a maintenance company.
He married Patricia A. Marzck. She survives in Collinsville, Ill.
Other survivors include one son, Joseph Burgin, and one daughter, Michelle Burgin, both of Collinsville; four brothers, Larry Winfred, David Winfred, Ronnie Burgin and Bobby Burgin, all of Poplar Bluff; and his mother, Alice Burgin of Poplar Bluff.

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. --Audrey C. "Granny" Fletcher, 82, of Winter Haven, formerly of Malden, died of heart failure Thursday, June 26, 2003, at Winter Haven Hospital.
Mrs. Fletcher was a of the Freewill Baptist faith. She was married to James E. Fletcher. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Carroll Fletcher of Poplar Bluff and Ronnie Fletcher of Winter Haven; four daughters, Barbara Felker of Dexter, Brenda Williamson of Bloomfield, and Glenda Johnson and Karren Eyrich, both of Winter Haven; seven brothers, Charles Brown of Arnold, Wilson Brown, Jr. of Silva, Carl Brown of Farmington, Lloyd Brown of Malden, Dale Brown of St. Louis, Norman Brown of Green, Kan., and Donald Brown of Tallapoosa; one sister, Gerty Pennington of Marshalltown, Iowa; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. today at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Winter Haven.

Gary Prince
CORNING, Ark. -- Gary Reo Prince, 51, of Corning, died Saturday, June 28, 2003, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Prince was born April 15, 1952, in Hayti. He was of the Baptist faith and was a carpenter.
On Dec. 28, 1993, he married Phyllis Richards. She survives.
Other survivors include two stepsons, Gordon Lamborne and Charles Lamborne, both of Corning; one stepdaughter, Susan Graybell of Scotty Daisy, Tenn.; four brothers, Richard Prince and Ralph Prince, both of Corning, Jimmy Prince of Success, Ark., and Sonny Prince of Herber Springs, Ark.; five sisters, Velma Tyler of Piggott, Ark., Nina Jones, Sue Hines and Pat Tutor, all of Corning, and Claudia Kohlbrecker of Mt. Home, Ark.; and three grandchildren.

Phyllis M. Collins
NIXA -- Phyllis M. (Dabbs) Collins, 58, of Nixa died Saturday, June 28, 2003 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. She was born Aug. 19, 1944 in Fisk. She was a graduate of Fisk-Rombauer High School and of a business college in Poplar Bluff.
She retired in 2001 from the Landowners Abstract Office. She had also been employed by Abington Abstract Co. in Poplar Bluff and Southwestern Bell Telephone.
Mrs. Collins attended South Haven Baptist Church. While her husband was in the military they lived in Germany, Panama, Washington State, Fort Dix, N.J., and Fort Knox, Ky. She loved to travel, enjoyed old movies and going out to eat. She was already for a shopping trip.
She marred James O. Collins Dec. 18, 1965. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Nicole A. Collins of Poplar Bluff; four brothers, Glenn Dabbs, Wayne Dabbs, Neil Dabbs, all of Fisk, and Gail Dabbs of Dexter; a sister, Elsie Heller of Kennett and other relatives.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 1 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield with the Rev. J.R. Duncan and the Rev. Byron Beck officiating.

Doris Good
DONIPHAN -- Doris Jean (Miller) Good, 33, died Friday, June 27, 2003, after a lengthy illness from cancer.
Mrs. Good was born Dec. 6, 1969, in Hanover, Penn., the daughter of Glenn and Anna Lois (Geigley) Miller. She was a member of the Belen Mennonite Church in Belen, NM. Her glowing testimony of a deep trust in the Lord by her inner peace and resignation to the circumstances of her sickness have touched many lives. She will be greatly missed by all.
On Jan. 1, 1994, she married Joseph D. Good. He survives.
Other survivors include one son, Brandon, age seven; and two daughters, Karen, age four, and Brenda, age three; three brothers, Dale Miller and wife, Ada Mae (Weaver), of Colby, Wisc., Robert Miller of Farmington, NM, and Edwin Miller of Belen, NM; two sisters, Faye Troyer and husband, Paul, of Grandin, and Janice Byler and husband, Wesley, of Los Lunas, NM; two grandmothers, Dorothy Miller and Gladys Geigley; nine nephews; and seven nieces.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Grandin Mennonite Church in Grandin. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Doniphan.
Memorials may be made to the Grandin Mennonite Church to help meet the expenses of Doris' lengthy illness.

Euel Cato
GREENVILLE -- Euel Leto Cato, 93, of Greenville, died Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Cato was born May 18, 1910, in Zalma. He was a member of New Prospect Church in Silva and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during WW II. He was formerly employed with the Missouri State Highway Department as a surveyor.
On Sept. 24, 1950, he married Gertrude Bollinger. She preceded him in death June 6, 1994.
Survivors include one half -brother, Cletus Cato.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Ruegg Funeral Home in Greenville. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at New Prospect Church Cemetery in Silva.

Dale Boyd
ELLINGTON -- Dale Ray Boyd, 58, of Elllington, died Friday, June 27, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Mr. Boyd was born Oct. 4, 1944, in Poplar Bluff. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of Modern Day Veterans. He enjoyed fishing, reading and his children and grandchildren.
On Sept. 10, 1990, he married Edith Bradley. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Edward Boyd of Columbia and Earl Boyd of Jackson; five daughters, Regina Webb of Hannibal, Kathleen Boyd Hale of West Plains, Peggy Bowers of Bloomfield, Sherry Dodson of Rolla and Julie Stephenson of Elllington; two brothers, Edward Boyd of California and Steve Boyd of Riverside, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.
