Justin J. Florek

On December 25, 2009, we lost our dear Justin in a tragic accident 
while he was performing routine work duties.

He was born in Longview on April 30, 1984 to James and Susan Florek, 
where he was raised with his younger brother David. Justin graduated 
from Mark Morris High School in 2003. He met the love of his life Amber 
and married her on May 21, 2004. Justin and Amber spent the last five 
and a half years living their lives to the fullest which included 
spending time with their family and friends, whitewater rafting, 
snowboarding, camping, traveling and in the door to door preaching 
work. One of Justin's favorite things to do was troubleshooting engine 
problems with his dad and/or grandpa (Bub). He also loved to eat 
brownies and play Phase 10 with his mom, Nanny and Davey.

Justin was known for his sense of humor and love of life. He made 
everyone around him laugh, even if it meant performing a courageous 
karaoke song or a daring dance move. While he was known for being such 
a fun person, he did not let that get in the way of his 
responsibilities. Justin was very dependable and did everything he 
could to help out his family, friends, and his wife whom he adored. 
Anybody that looked at the Florek couple couldn't help but be infected 
by their love for each other; two people, best friends, such a good 
match.

Justin was baptized on October 19, 1996 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. 
One of his greatest loves was sharing the Bible with others and 
teaching them about the hope for the future found at Matthew 6:10 where 
it says "Let your kingdom come, Let your will take place, as in heaven, 
also upon earth." Justin believed the righteous would inherit the earth 
in a peaceful new world governed by Jehovah God. We are looking forward 
to the day when all "those in memorial tombs will hear his voice (Jesus 
speaking) and come out" to live forever on a paradise earth (John 5:28, 
29).

Amber would like everyone to know how much Justin enjoyed his job at 
Equa-Chlor, as well as working with his team members. She fully 
understood his affection for this company when she experienced their 
willingness to go above and beyond anything she could have expected 
during this tragedy. The Florek family would like to convey their 
deepest gratitude to everyone that has been so incredibly supportive in 
this very unnatural and difficult situation. Along with the employees 
of Equa-Chlor, Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue, played a huge part in finding 
Justin. We are eternally grateful for the dignity that was shown to 
him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to 
Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue.







There will be a memorial service and reception at the Red Lion Hotel in 
Kelso on Saturday, January 2 at 2 p.m. All who knew Justin, loved him, 
or were affected by his life and would like to attend and show their 
support for the family are warmly invited.
