Miss Elsie Louise Batchelder passed away Thursday at her home in Galt after a short illness of influenza. She was aged 16 years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Batchelder and sister of Mary and Willard Batchelder, who is now in a hospital in France suffering from wounds received at the front.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the late residents under the direction of O. H. Wells. Interment will be made in the I. O. O. F. cemetery at Galt. Rev. Hawley will officiate.
