From the Lodi Sentinel, 10 Sep 1918:
Suffering a stroke of apoplexy, William W. Bingham, an uncle of Ed and William Lossing, passed away Thursday at Sonoma. He was 73 years and nine months old. The body was sent to Lodi for burial Friday. The funeral was held Sunday morning at 10 o'clock from the residence of O. H. Wells. Interment was made in the Woodbridge cemetery.
