From the Lodi Sentinel, 8 Jan 1918:
John Bisanz passed away Sunday at his home in Galt after a short illness of pneumonia. He was a native of France and was aged 80 years. He had resided in Galt for a great many years, and was well known throughout that section. Besides a wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Ophie O. Shroeder of Stockton.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the chapel of Hale & Bawden. Interment will be made in Lodi cemetery.
