A death of more than local importance took place in Stockton Monday. Mrs. Grace M. Broadhurst, who had been for so many years connected with the county Christian Endeavor work, answered the call. She was a charming woman of Christian devotion and loyalty to every trust committed to her hands. Rev. W. A. Schwimley had been intimately associated with her through Christian Endeavor work in the county and it was her request that he should minister in this hour of sorrow. She was laid to rest in Rural cemetery, Stockton, Wednesday afternoon. In the midst of a wonderful profusion of flowers her body was committed back to mother earth.
