Ralph J. Burson

Ralph J. Burson, 67, 14441 E. Collier Road, Acampo, died Tuesday evening in a Stockton hospital following a short illness.

A native Lodian, Burson moved to Manteca in 1946 to farm and remained there until 1969, when he returned to the Lodi area to enter the poultry industry. He retired three years ago.

Burson was a member of Lodi Lodge No. 256, F. and A. M., the Stockton Scottish Rite bodies and the Ben Ali Temple of Shrine.

Survivors include his wife, Helen V. Burson; a son, Weldon H. Burson of Acampo; a daughter, Barbara Kay Hunt of Manteca; two brothers, Dr. Floyd Burson of Los Angeles and Dr. E. H. Burson of Monterey; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Private family services were held Wednesday at the Gierhart and Wells Funeral Home followed by inurnment in Cherokee Memorial Park. Memorials may be sent to the Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospital or to a favorite charity.
