From the Lodi Sentinel, 25 Aug 1917:
Robert Lee, little son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Corning of Sacramento, died Tuesday evening. Mrs. Corning and her little boy were visiting with the former's mother at her home at the corner of Cherokee Lane and Lodi avenue when the latter was taken ill and died. He was an only child, aged 8 months and 6 days and a native of California. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the parlors of O. H. Wells. Rev. F. A. Keast will officiate. Interment in Lodi cemetery.
