Influenza Fatal to Trained Nurse

After a short illness of influenza-pneumonia, Miss Edna L. Ivory passed away yesterday morning at the Mason hospital. The young lady, who was born and raised in Lodi, was a trained nurse at the Dameron hospital, and it was while nursing influenza patients that she contracted it. As soon as she was taken ill, she came home to her mother, Mrs. Rebecca Ivory at 115 West Pine street, and was later transferred to the hospital. She was aged 34 years, 10 months and 24 days. She was the sister of Mrs. Carrie Hull of Hoquiam, Washington; Oscar Ivory of San Francisco and Mrs. Frank Henning of Lodi. She was a member of Lodi Chapter, No. 150, O. E. S.

The funeral will be held from the parlors of O. H. Wells Monday morning at 10 o'clock, thence to Rural cemetery, Stockton, for interment. The Christian Science service will be read by Mrs. Ballantyne.
