Rena Myers

Rena O. Myers, 81, of Lodi died July 3 at home of natural causes. She was born Sept. 30, 1911, in Vinn, Okla.

Mrs. Myers moved to Lodi from Oklahoma in 1941. She worked for the Winemasters Guild, where she bottled wine for 30 years before retiring in 1974.

She was a member of Lodi Christian Life for more than 40 years and served for 28 years as secretary/treasurer. She also taught Sunday school and was the music leader; she was also a board member. She was a member of the Winery, Distillery and Allied Union Local No. 186.

Mrs. Myers is survived by a son, Claude Myers of Meyers; two daughters, Shirley Taylor and Alma Neal, both of Lodi; a brother, Robert Wariner of Kansas; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Church services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lodi Christian Life Church, 300 Hilborn St., with Rev. Richard Francis of the church presiding. Committal will follow at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Rocha's Mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church Building Fund, in her name.
