OAKLAND, Jan. 2 (UP) -- Fred W. Perkins, 75, horse and cattle raiser residing near Lodi at a ranch outside of Lockeford, died at the home of his son-in-law in Piedmont today.
Perkins, born at Placerville, attended schools in Michigan, and returned to California to operate a hardware store at Los Gatos. On his retirement he engaged in horses and cattle raising at his Lockeford ranch.
He is survived by Mrs. Ella Perkins, his widow, a daughter and two grandchildren and his son-in-law, F. Bruce Maiden, Oakland real estate operator.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Maiden home Thursday.
