Mrs. Rosie Pierce, formerly of Acampo, passed away at her home in Oakland Thursday morning. She was the mother of Ida May and Mamie Pierce of Oakland and James A. Pierce of Acampo. The deceased was a native of Ireland and was 71 years of age. The remains will arrive in Lodi Sunday and will be held at the Hale & Bawden chapel until Monday morning, when the funeral will be held from St. Anne's church at 9 a.m., when requiem high mass will be said for the repose of her soul. Interment will be made in Lodi cemetery. Friends are invited to attend the services.
