Heart Attack Fatal to Lodian

Philip Rivinius of 1039 South Central Avenue, a prominent vineyardist in this district for the past six years, passed away at a local hospital Saturday night as the result of a heart attack. Mr. Rivinius was stricken while attending the automobile races as the "99" Stadium in Stockton and rushed by ambulance to the hospital where he soon afterwards passed away.

A native of Freidorf, Russia, Mr. Rivinius who was 58 years old had farmed extensively in Streeter, N. Dak. before coming to Lodi. His immediate family survivors here are his wife, Mrs. Magdalena Rivinius, and two daughters, the Misses Evanda L., and Verna E. Rivinius. Two sons Harry P., and Walter A. Rivinius of Escalon, also survive.

Other survivors include two brothers, Jacon Rivinius of Elgin, N. Dak., and William Ravinius of Streeter, N. Dak. Three nieces and two nephews also survive. They are Mrs. Otto Weist of Lodi, Mrs. Walter Ensminger of Lockeford and Mrs. Martha Rousseau of San Francisco and Gus Rivinius of Lockeford and Edward Ravinius of Lodi.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in charge of the Lodi Funeral Home at the Salem Evangelical Church of which Mr. Ravinius was a member. The Rev. A. H. Horn, pastor of the church will conduct the services.
