From the Lodi Sentinel, 24 Oct 1918:
Suffering an attack of pneumonia, resulting from influenza, James R., the two-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Scott passed away yesterday morning at their home on Cherokee lane, south of Lodi. The child was ill but a few days.
The funeral, which will be private, will be held this morning at 10 o'clock from the parlors of Hale & Bawden. Rev. Schwimley will officiate and interment will be made in Lodi cemetery.
