Rev. Verleger Dead of Dread Malady

Rev. Charles A. Verleger, pastor of the Episcopal church, died this morning from Spanish influenza. The body is now at the parlors of O. H. Wells and will be shipped to San Francisco tomorrow for interment. Deceased was a native of California, aged 31 years and 17 days. He was rector of St. John's church and had been stationed here for more than a year.
