Dodge City Daily Globe - Monday February 19, 1979, page 2 Mrs. Earl P. Haskell Minneola--Mrs. Opal J. Haskell 62 of Minneola, died Saturday afternoon at the Minneola District Hospital. She was born Sept. 2 1917, in Dodge City, the daughter of James O. and Ella Rose Barnes. She grew up in Dodge City and she and Earl P. Haskell were married Nov. 7, 1938, in Cimarron. They lived in Cimarron until moving to Minneola in 1950. Mrs. Haskell had been in poor health for the past month. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the T.M.T. Club of Minneola. Survivors include the widower; a son, Robert G. of Dodge City; three brothers, Cecil Barnes of Dodge City, Kenneth Barnes of Portland, Ore; and; two grandsons, Brad and Brent Haskell. The funeral has been set for 2 P.M. Wednesday in the Hulpieu-Swaim Funeral Home chapel with Dean E. Burton, minister officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Family members suggest memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, in care of the Peoples State Bank of Minneola
