Kathleen "Kate" Redburn Obituary Dodge City Daily Globe Thursday, November 14, 2002 Kathleen "Kate" Redburn, 81 died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born Ju7ly 31, 1921, to William Bernard and Anne Frances (Tully) Fleming in Spearville. She married Walt Redburn Jan. 31, 1953, in Dodge City. He survives. She graduated from Dodge City High School and Dodge City Community College. She had been a resident of Dodge City since 1939, moving from Spearville. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Ferguson's Furniture and Appliance Co. in Dodge City for 28 years. She retired in 1991. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe and a former member of Sacred Heart Cathedral, both of Dodge City. She was also a member of Daughters of Isabella and Altar Society, both of Dodge City. Other survivors include one son Dennis Reburn and wife Marla, Great Bend: two daughters, Sara Smith and husband, Rawlin, and Mary Ziekle and husband, Kenny all of Dodge City: two brothers, Gene Fleming, Ulysses ad Larry Fleming, Copeland: two sisters, Marcella Weide, Great Bend and Ermalee Newby, Garden City: 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 4 PM and a vigil Service will be at 7 PM Friday, both at Burkart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 903 Central, Dodge City, with the Rev. Ted A. Skalsky presiding. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. Friends may call from 9 AM until 7 PM Friday at Burkart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
