KALVESTA - Earl J. Simmons, 84 died June 30, 1989 at his home at
Kalvesta.  Born August 4, 1904 at Wright, he married Hattie M. Hood
September 3, 1924, at Dodge City.  She died May 11, 1968.  Retired farm laborer, he was a Kalvesta resident since 1943, moving from the Dodge City area. 

Survivors: son, Virgil E., Kalvesta: and eight grandchildren.

Funeral will be 2 P.M. Monday at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City, Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.  Friends ;may call from 8:30 A.M. Monday until service time at the funeral home.  Memorials may go to the American Heart Association or Center for Basic Cancer Research, Kansas State University.
