KALVESTA - Mrs. Hattie M. Simmons wife of Earl Simmons of this community died Sunday in Trinity Hospital, Dodge City.  She was born Aug. 15, 1907 in Grant County.

Her parents died when she was very young.  She grew up in the Dodge City area.  She and Mr. Simmons were married Sept. 3, 1924, in Dodge City.  They had lived in the Kalvesta area since 1943 and were living 10 miles west of there at the time of her death.

Survivors, include the widower, two sons, Dean. L. of Bethany, Okla. and Virgil of Ingalls; three brothers, George Hood of Midvale Calif., Edwin Hood of Victorville, Calif. and Fred Hood of Julian Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Keith and Mrs. Mabel Holmes of Dodge City; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral has been set for 2 P.M. Tuesday at the Church of the
Nazarene of Kalvesta and Rev. E. H. Kehr officiating.  Burial will be in
Dodge City, with the Evans Funeral Home of Cimmaron in charge.
