Virgil Snodgrass Obituary Taken from The Hutchinson News, Friday, May 5, 1972. Bucklin - Virgil Snodgrass, 71, died Thursday at Trinity Hospital, Dodge City, after a short illness. Born Dec. 3, 1900, in Brownell, he married Doris Hobbs Nov. 20, 1971, at Kinsley. He was a carpenter and lived here since 1959. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Bucklin. Survivors include the widow; sons: Rex, Dodge City; Norman, York, Neb; Vernon and Dennis, Bucklin; daughters: Mrs. Violet May Kurtman, New Brunswick, N.J.; Mrs. Berdine Bradley, Temple Terrace, Fla.; Step-son: Fred Hendricks Jr., California; step-daughter: Mrs. Betty Kinslow, Plains; brothers: William, Brownell; Earl, Ransom; sister: Mrs. Vera Long, Arnold; 20 grandchildren. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church Bucklin; Rev. H. D. Matthews and Rev. W. Claude Fillingim. Burial will be in Bucklin Cemetery.
