Died while hospitalized at Shawnee Mission Hospital in Overland Park. She was
surrounded, physically and spiritually, by her family at the time of her
passing. She was born in Slayton Township, Minnesota. Her parents were Arnold
and Laura (Olson) Shellenberg. On August 25, 1938 she was married to Donald
Stanley Theodore Anderson. After his military service during World War II, they
lived in Texarkana, Texas, LaCrosse, Wisconsin and finally Wichita, Kansas,
where he had been in radio broadcasting. Following his death on December 28,
1961, she entered nursing school to support and educate her family. She became
an LPN and was employed by Wesley Medical Center, retiring from Wesley after
many years of service. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in
Wichita. She remained true to her husband's memory, "the love of her life,"
until her death, following her difficult and protracted illness. We thank her
for the love and support and all she gave of herself, to us, during her time
upon this earth. Wichita, Kansas.
