Birth: Jul. 7, 1952, Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas Death: Sept. 10, 2004, New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana A native of Wichita, Jim had lived in New Orleans for twenty-nine years, a high school English teacher for the New Orleans Public School System. He was an energetic and enthusiastic teacher at Fortier High School and served as faculty advisor for The Tarpon Talk, Fortier's student newspaper. He was well known, loved by all his students, and will be remembered for walking proudly in the annual Mardi Gras Parade wearing the Fortier High band uniform. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Earle Peddecord and a brother, John M Peddecord. Graduated from Bishop Carroll High School, and the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, WI.
