He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sylvia Turnis; and his
sister, Betty Turnis. S/O Frank and Mary (Sherlock) Turnis in Monticello, Iowa.
He received his under graduate degree from Loras College, his master's degree
from the University of Missouri and his PHD Psychology from Iowa State
University. On November 30, 1968, he married Sylvia Orth. She died October 28,
2001. Mark practiced child psychology from 1969 - 1997 at the Wichita Guidance
Center, retiring in 1997. He was a past member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic
Church in Wichita, and currently a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Cedar
Rapids.
