Lucille Herring Baysinger, 89, of Jefferson City and formerly of Hannibal, died Jan. 17, 1998, at Callaway Community Hospital in Fulton.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. The Rev. Raymond McCallister will officiate. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Jefferson City.

Mrs. Baysinger was born Jan. 8, 1909, in Fulton to Letus and Rosene Mosley Herring.

She was married to Dwight Hammon. He preceded her in death. She was later married to Ollie Baysinger. He also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth D. Hammon of Fulton and Robert E. Hammon of Defeated, Tenn.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Herring of Hannibal; and one sister, Pauline Smith of Jefferson City.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Herring.

Mrs. Baysinger was employed by the Division of Employment Security from 1937 to 1976 and had been secretary to the director for many years.

She lived in Hannibal and Fulton before moving to Jefferson City in 1953. She had lived at the Heisinger Lutheran Retirement Home for the past three years.

Mrs. Baysinger was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jefferson City. She also was a member of the Eastern Star in Jefferson City.

She was a graduate of Hannibal High School. She enjoyed traveling.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
