Jefferson City News-Tribune, December 11, 2002, Jefferson City, Missouri Howard Lee Blansett, 66, Bucyrus, formerly of Fulton, died Dec. 9, 2002, at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston (Mo). He was born Aug. 2, 1936, in Fulton, a son of Finis B. and Ethel Hull Blansett. He was married Feb. 27, 1955, to Shirley Ann Wright, who survives at the home. He owned and operated several businesses in Fulton and the Lake of the Ozarks. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, Fulton. He coached Little League Baseball and was a sponsor for girl's softball. Other survivors include: one son, Howard Michael Blansett, Rolla; one daughter, Debbie Hiatte, New Bloomfield; two brothers, William "Bill" Blansett and Earl Blansett, both of Fulton; four grandchildren; and two step grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today. Memorials are suggested to the Howard Blansett Fund.
