Columbia Daily Tribune, March 28, 2001, Columbia, Missouri Gladys Juanita Day, 92, of Columbia died Monday, March 26, 2001, at Columbia Regional Hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 30, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with the Rev. Tom Wilkes officiating. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to time of services Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Day was born March 23, 1909, in Grayson, Okla., to James and Deony Witcher. She married William Taylor Day on Dec. 24, 1928, and he preceded her in death. She graduated from Fulton Synodical Academy in Fulton. She and her husband farmed in Callaway County and owned a hatchery in Macon and a construction and real estate business in Columbia. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Garden Club of Columbia. She had been a member of the Anti-Rust Club of Macon and Ebenezer Baptist Church in Fulton. Survivors include two sons, Robert Taylor Day of Columbia and Francis Day of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Billie Jane Walker of Clarence; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
