Robinson Argus, Sep 7, 1995, Robinson, Crawford, Illinois Iris Nadine Herring Iris Nadine Herring, 72, Robinson, died Monday, Sept. 4, at Crawford Memorial Hospital. Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Pulliam Funral Home with Rev. Jim Barnett officiating. Burial is in the Robinson Old Cemetery. Born Feb. 14, 1923, in Auxvasse, Mo., she was the daughter of "Carson" Jack and Mary Wilks Carrington. She was a billing clerk at the Robinson-Palestine Water Commission and owned and operated the Basement Stamp Shop until her death. She was a member of the Robinson First United Methodist Church and a former member of Robinson Minerva Club. She was a 1943 graduate of Fulton High School and received an AAS from William Woods College, Fulton, Mo. On Dec. 23, 1945, she married David W. Herring and he preceeded her in death Oct. 27, 1981. Surviving are a son, John, Aurora, Co; a daughter, Mary (Mrs. Glenn) Hubbard, Carpentersville; a brother, Rex Carrington, Afton, Mo; her stepmother, Tina Taylor, Fulton, Mo; six grandchildren; a great grandchild, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
