Jefferson City News-Tribune, March 11, 2005, Jefferson City, Missouri Michael Kent Holt, 45, of Fulton, Missouri was killed in an auto accident on Highway 54 and Route F in Fulton, Missouri on Wednesday, March 9, 2005. He was born June 29, 1959 in Fulton, Missouri to the late Jack C. and Kathryn (Holsman) Holt. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters, Christina and Lindsey Holt; one brother James Holt and wife Angie of Holts Summit, Missouri; one sister, Lisa Holt of Kansas City, Missouri; paternal uncle and aunt, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Holt of Jefferson City, Missouri who raised Michael and his brother and sister upon their parents deaths; one niece, Amber Holt; one nephew, Levi Holt; three paternal cousins and several maternal cousins, aunts and uncles, most from Callaway County; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents Kathryn & I.C. (Tots) Holt, maternal grandparents Henry and Mae Holsman, and one niece, Danielle Holt. Michael was a State of Missouri employee for 15 years. He worked for the Department of Corrections and Division of Youth Services, as a Recreation Officer and as a Caseworker. He was a graduate of New Bloomfield High School and attended Central Missouri State University of Warrensburg, Missouri. He received a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Lincoln University. He was a member of Dry Fork Baptist Church at Guthrie, Missouri, and enjoyed fishing and sports, especially football. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2005 at Dry Fork Baptist Church in Guthrie, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Anderson and Pastor Bill Wormsley officiating. Interment will be at Dry Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday, March 13, 2005 at Dry Fork Baptist Church in Guthrie, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Dry Fork Cemetery.
