Missouri Telegraph, Tuesday, March 1, 1904, Fulton, Callaway, Missouri Carrington News: Noah Sacre and wife were called to Springfield, Ill. to attend their daughter, Mrs. Earnest Sampson, who was dangerously sick. She died before they arrived. The remains were brought to Carrington and laid to rest in the presence of a large assembly of relatives and friends. The funeral exercises were conducted by Elder E. Herndon (in the absence of Rev. E.J. sanderson who failed to make connections at Mexico). Effie Belle Sacre, seemingly in the bloom of health, was married Dec. 30, 1903 to Earnest Sampson, of Springfield, Ills. Many hearts were indeed made sad to know that Effie shall mingle no more on earth with those she loved. We trust that her sweet spirit has joined the hosts of redeemed who praise Him who said: "I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall be live." Though it is so hard for us to realize that she has gone never to come to us again, may God help us to say: "Not our will, but thine be done."
