Missouri Telegraph, 15 Mar 1878, Fulton, Callaway, Missouri Death of Mrs Nancy Sampson, at residence of Mr. John B. Williams, in Fulton, in her 63rd year. Her father was Louden Snell, moved to this state in 1826 and settled in Boone County - until his death. On 22 Dec 1877 Mr John Sampson died and on 6 Jan 1878 her brother John Snell died. Mrs Sampson united with the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, at Millers Creek in 1870. On Sunday last she was buried in the cemetery of the church by her husband. She leaves six children - Mrs. W.F. Davis, Nevada City, MO; Mrs Wm West, California; Mrs WP Smith, Boone county; Miss Alice, William and Thomas Sampson of Callaway.
