Nana P. (Miller) Zercher Nana P. (Miller) Zercher, 83, Bethany, Mo. and formerly of Redding, Iowa and St. Louis, Mo., died March 1, 2001, at her home. Mrs. Zercher was born in Worth County, Mo. on March 12, 1917, the daughter of William Miller and May (Jackson) Miller. She married Raymond Croy in 1935, and later married Fred Zercher in 1948. She worked with Dr. Reid at the Reid Hospital and later for Dr. C.W. McCartney, retiring in 1980. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at the First Christian Church for many years. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Fred; infant daughter Nora Mae Croy; three sisters, Cora M. Jarman, Lorraine Todd, and Dixie D. Duckett, and three brothers, Dewey Miller, Alva L. Miller, and Charles E. Miller. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Ann Vicker and husband Lyle of Essex, Iowa, and Billie Rae Pillow and husband Rev. David of Grain Valley, Mo.; one son, Tom F. Zercher, Cape Coral, Fla.; ten grandchildren, David Pillow, Jr., Steven Pillow, Pamela Olson, Leanne Burney, Jeff Pillow, Troy Vicker, Lindsay Larson, Jamie Vicker, Erich Zercher and Emily Zercher; 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great, great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at the First Baptist Church in Bethany, under the direction of the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Marguerite (McLain) Cordle, 76, Cainsville, Mo. and formerly of Kansas City, Mo., died March 3, 2001, at Liberty Hospital. Mrs. Cordle was born in Cainsville on July 10, 1924, the daughter of Albert L. and Mary Ann (Bower) McLain. She married Theodore Wesley Cordle on Oct. 26, 1947, and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and member of the First Christian Church in Cainsville, C.W.F., American Legion Auxiliary in Cainsville. She had also served on the Cainsville city council. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mable Tucker, and six brothers, Herbert, Ernie, Clarence, Noel, Otie and Robert McLain. She leaves a sister, Roma Butler, Cainsville, and a brother, Ted McLain, Blythedale. Richard Earl Morris Richard Earl Morris, 93, Cameron, Mo., died March 29,2001, at Quail Run Nursing Home in Cameron. Mr. Morris was born in Ridgeway, Mo. on Aug. 9, 1907, the son of Robert S. and Mary Ellen (Cunniff) Morris. He graduated from Ridgeway High School and married Ruth Marie Parrish on March 26, 1941. They farmed north of Gilman City and after retiring, moved to Gallatin and then Cameron. He was a member of the Kansas City Baptist Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Larry Dean Morris; sisters Dulcia Morris, Pauline Moss, Glenn Morris and a brother, Guy Morris. He leaves his wife Ruth of the home; children Judith Ann Vochatzer, Independence, Mo., Robert Morris, Raymore, Mo., Maurice Morris, Canyon Lake, Texas, Norman Gene Morris, Huntsville, Ala., Charles Richard Morris, Olathe, Kan., Cecil Ray Morris, Lee's Summit, Mo.; 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Archer was born on Nov. 5, 1921 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of William Grover and Ruby Karnes Golliher. She attended Kirksville State Teacher College and later became a teacher. She married Ralph Arch on March 30, 1945, and he preceded her in death in 1984. Summers, 88, Pattonsburg, Mo., died June 9, 2001, at Harrison County Community Hospital. Mr. Summers was born in San Benito, Texas on March 25, 1913, the son of Earl and Stella (Morris) Summers. He married Lucile Plowman on Nov. 11, 1933, and she survives of the home. He worked as a farmer and was also county chairman for the ASCS office in Gallatin for 23 years. He had served as a past president of the Missouri Association of Farmer Elected Committeemen and had served on the MFA Board and MFA Exchange Board, water board, Daviess County Mutual Insurance Company board, and Pattonsburg school board. He was a member of the Western Star Masonic Lodge, Winston, and Esther Chapter #13 of the Order of Eastern Star. He was also a member of the Oak Ridge Christian Church, Pattonsburg, where he taught Sunday school. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother who raised him, Martha Morris; a brother, James Earl Summers and his step-mother, Cuma Summers. In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Ray and wife Patsy Summers, Osage Beach, Mo., and Max and wife Nancy Summers, Maitland; one daughter, Beverly McMillen, Independence, Mo.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. McKinney, 70, Princeton, Mo., died June 7, 2001, at the Princeton Care Center. Mr. McKinney was born in Mercer County on Jan. 22, 1931, the son of Everett and Edna (Melton) McKinney. He had worked as a truck driver for the ITT Continental Baking Company of Kansas City. He married Peggy George on June 28, 1952, and she survives of the home. His parents, four brothers, Farrell, Forrest, Marvin and Joe McKinney, and one sister, Marie Jeffries, preceded him in death. Hamilton, 83, Bethany, Mo., and formerly of Ridgeway, died August 6, 2001, at an Albany health care center. Mrs. Hamilton was born in Mercer County, Mo., on Sept. 6, 1917, the daughter of Henrey and Elanore (Robinson) Houk. She married Samuel Jasper Hamilton on Dec. 25, 1935, and he preceded her in death. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ in Bethany. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mabel Thrasher and Florence Moss, and three brothers, Willis, Charlie and James Houk. She leaves a son, Leland Hamilton, Bethany; sister Mina Barth, Bethany; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Findley was born on June 13, 1953, in New Hampton, Mo., the son of William and Nina Pearl (Watts) Findley. He worked as a car detailer for Hensley Chevrolet in Albany, and was a member of the Gentryville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Benny and Jerry Findley, and a half-brother, Billy Findley. He leaves two sisters, Judy Dierenfeldt and Betty Straight, both of Albany; a brother, Kenny Findley, New Hampton, and several nieces and nephews. Olive (Archer) Rucker Olive (Archer) Rucker, 81, Eagleville, Mo., died October 15, 2001, at a North Kansas City hospital. Mrs. Rucker was born Feb. 9, 1920, in Blue Ridge, Mo., the daughter of Harvey and Emy (Woods) Archer. She married Truman Rucker on Sept. 2, 1946, and he survives of the home. She taught school and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Wilbur and Ralph Archer, and one sister, Lela Wiley. In addition to her husband she leaves a daughter, Sue Starmer and husband Royce of Eagleville, Mo., and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Louise (Everett) Sorensen Louise (Everett) Sorensen, 75, St. Louis Park, Minn., died October 16, 2001, at a St. Louis Park hospital. Ms. Sorensen was born in Bethany, Mo., on May 8, 1926, the daughter of Victor and Sybil Everett. She was a homemaker and member of the House of Hope Presbyterian Church, Hopkins, Minn. She was preceded in death by a son, Rick Sorensen, and her parents.
