Last rites were held for Mrs. Alpha Pearl Carter, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Brothers Funeral Home. Services were conducted by the Rev. F. M. Brannick; Christian minister of Shelbyville.
Mrs. Carter passed away at her home near Bethel, Tuesday morning.
The deceased was born April 1, 1885, and was married March 20, 1902. She was a member of the Christian church. Mrs. Carter is survived by two sons, Jesse Louis and Joseph Weldon; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel McCorkle of Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Nellie Luke of Garfield, Ark., two brothers, James Arthur Fisher of Springfield Ill., and Harry Fisher of Monroe City, and a grandson Louis Carter.
Interment was in the Union Christian cemetery 10 miles from Paris.
