Joseph Martin Dixon Rites Tomorrow For J. M. Dixon MONROE CITY, Mo. – Funeral services for Joseph Martin Dixon, 70 will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Stephen’s Catholic church in Indian Creek with burial in the church cemetery. Msgr. Gavan of Mexico will officiate. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 o’clock tonight at Wilson’s Funeral Home here. Mr. Dixon died at his home, 337 Jefferson Road, Mexico, at 8:55 a.m. Monday. He was born Dec. 6, 1887 in Monroe County and spent his entire life in the county. He was a son of John Monroe and Fanny Tewell Dixon. Survivors include his wife, Mary; two brothers, P. K. Dixon of Quincy, Ill., and J. B. Dixon of Kansas City; six nephews and two nieces. A retired employee of the U. S. finance department, he was a member of St. Brenan’s Catholic Church in Mexico.
