Jim Evans PARIS – Services for Jim B Evans, 81, a retired farmer and locker company employee of Paris, were at 2 p.m. today at Agnew Funeral Home. The Rev. Mike Crouch officiated. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Mr. Evans died Jan. 23, 1988, in Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Paris. He was born March 15, 1906, in Paris to Cyrus and Nell Manuel Evans. He married Josephine Scobee on April 16, 1927, in Quincy, Ill. She survives. Also surviving are four sisters, Daisy Hill of Paris, Ruth Hague of Lexington, Ky., Margaret Hague of Detroit, Mich., and Hazel Latal of Anderson, Calif.; and five grandchildren. Mr. Evans was employed at Cook’s Locker in Paris for 30 years in addition to farming. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Modern Woodsmen.
