William K. Frye WILLIAM K. FRYE, 77, DIES IN MONROE CITY Funeral Probably Will be Thursday Morning Monroe City, Mo., Oct 9 – William Keller Frye, 77 years, four months and 22 days of age, retired farmer, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A.P. Simms here at 3:30 o’clock this morning. He had been in ill health several weeks and seriously ill ten days. A son of the late America Kirby and W.K. Frye, he was born May 16, 1858, in Marion county. When young he moved to Monroe county with his county with his family where he had spent the remainder of his life. In February 1886, he was married to Miss Anna Lee who preceded him in death 36 years ago. For the last several years he had made his home with his children. Mr. Frye was a member of the Catholic church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. J.L. Osburn, of Hannibal; Miss Goldie Frye of St. Joseph, and Mrs. Simms of Monroe City; a brother, Frank Frye, of Hannibal; 12 grandchildren. The remains were removed to the Wilson funeral home and will be taken back to the Simms’ home this afternoon. While funeral arrangements are not completed, the rites will probably be held at 9 o’clock Thursday morning from the Holy Rosary Catholic church.
