Goldie (Mahan) Stephens Mrs. Goldie Stephens Services for Mrs. Goldie Louise Stephens, 3025 Kenwood Ave, will be conducted (unable to read line) Chapel. Rev. W.E. Davidson will officiate and interment will be in Grandview Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of services. Mrs. Stephens died at her home Monday at 7:35 am. She was born May 4, 1891 in Monroe County, a daughter of the late Charles Frederick and Georgia A. Davis Mahan. She was a member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Society. She was a licensed practical nurse and was employed at Levering Hospital for 20 years before her retirement in 1961. On September 8, 1907, she was married to Thomas Briscoe Stephens at the home of her parents in Monroe County. He survives with 2 daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Verna) Riley and Mrs. Frank (Vienna) Currie, both of Hannibal; a son, Victor M. Stephens of Fort Madison, Iowa; 2 grandsons, Harold E. Stephens of El Cajon, Calif., and Ronald Lee Stephens, serving with the U.S. Army at Fort Polk, La.; 8 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. A sister, Mrs. J.H.
