Henry Borden
Henry Homer Borden, 72 years old, died Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. N. K. Deaver, where he had been for two weeks, following his dismissal from a hospital. He was a native of Monroe county, and had spent most of his life here, where he farmed during the earlier years of his life, then worked in a hospital at Fulton, and later did some private nursing work. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church.
Surviving are two children, Estel Borden of Quincy and Mrs. N. K. Deaver of Paris; one brother, John Borden of Shelbina; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Speed & Blakey Funeral Home by the Rev. W. E. Reavis, with interment at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
