Mrs. William Hess 

Mrs. William Hess, 74 died at her home near Florida, Saturday, January 17.  She had been in failing health several years.  Funeral services were conducted by Rev. John W. Golden from Mt. Hope Christian Church and burial was in Oakland cemetery southeast of Monroe City. Mrs. Hess was a daughter of the late George and Emily Young Shaver.  Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Tenk Cartmell of Stoutsville and Mrs. W. E. Winders of Florida, also four brothers and three sisters, Art, Alfred, William and Ed Shaver, Mrs. Mary Menefee and Miss Julia Shaver, all living southeast of Monroe City.
