Louisa Dailey SERVICES HELD SATURDAY FOR LOUISA DAILEY Louisa Dailey, daughter of James and Emily Dailey, pioneer settlers of Northeast Missouri, was born near Madison, Monore County, May 2, 1850 and died Thursday, March 18 last, at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 16 days. She was the last member of her family of 12 children, and had resided in Charleston for the past five years. Surviving are a large number of nephews and nieces, among them Harold Dailey, for several years editor of the Enterprise-Courier. Another nephew, W. S. Holloway, lives at Duquoin, Ill. Funeral services for Miss Dailey were conducted Saturday afternoon, 2 o'clock at the Lair Mortuary, with the Rev. C. P. Thogmorton officiating. Burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetery. For 60 years Miss Dailey lived in the home in which she was born in Monroe County. It had been built by her grandparents, and remained a landmark of the community for two generations. When sold and dismantled a few years ago, the salvage crew found the home built of hand hewn solid walnut logs, clinked with clay and covered with ordinary siding.
