Narcis Dailey The dark angel of death has visited us once again and taken from out of our midst a loved and cherished one. Narcis L. Dailey was born near Ash, Monroe County, Mo., May 29th, 1848, departed this life March 27th 1915, aged 66 years, 9 months and 28 days. She served her maker faithfully for twenty years, uniting with the Hickory Grove Baptist Church in 1895 and was baptized by Rev. Joseph Smith. She was kind, loving and gentle and was loved alike by all who came in contact with her. All that human hands could do was prolong her stay but it was not to be. The "Silent Call" had come and she went to answer it. The funeral was held at Hickory Grove church March 28th at 2 p.m. and was conducted by Rev. Green, after which the remains were laid for their last rest in the Hickory Grove cemetery. She leaves two sisters, three brothers and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Farewell dear aunt thy mission on earth is filled and although we are grief stricken and with heavy hearts pursue our way the thought, the hope of meeting once more beyond the silent stream of death where there is no partings, no grief, no good bys rouses us once more to the weary duties of life.
