Teni Ethel (Burditt) Painter Mrs. Delbert Painter, 69, the former Miss Teni Ethel Burditt died at Woodland Hospital Saturday after an illness of several years. She had been under hospitalization several times in recent months and seriously ill part of that time. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. Burditt and was born in the Indian Creek neighborhood. Her life had been spent in the Stoutsville, Florida and Paris vicinities. She was originally a member of the Harmony Baptist Church, later transferring to the Salem Church north of Paris, where she was an active member. She was also active in extension club and other community work. Surviving her are her husband, Delbert Painter; one daughter, Mrs. Sanford Lewellen; and one son, Lester Painter, five grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3:30 at the Speed and Blakey Funeral Home in Paris, with Rev. Roberson, Salem Pastor, officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove cemetery at Paris. Mrs. Painter was the last of her immediate family. A brother, Frank Burditt of Stoutsville, died only a few months ago.
