Mrs. John Rickard 

Mrs. John Rickard, 69, died Saturday at her home in Stoutsville after having been an invalid for ten years.  Mrs. Rickard, the former Miss Willie Dowell, was a daughter of the late Frank and Mattie Dowell and was born near Florida.  She had spent her life in the Florida and Stoutsville communities, living on the farm until nine years ago when Mr. and Mrs. Rickard moved to Stoutsville. 

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2:00 at the Stoutsville Baptist Church by the pastor, Rev. Huntsman, and burial was in Walnut Grove cemetery at Paris. 
Surviving Mrs. Rickard are her husband; three sons, Raymond of Tulsa, Oklahoma, John Francis of Birmingham, Alabama, C. M. of Mexico; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Wilma) Walkup of Florida; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. C. O. Hubbard of Paris; two brothers, Dick and A. L. Dowell of Tulsa.
