Rube Scobee 

Rube Scobee, 74-year-old retired farmer of the Florida community, died Sunday morning, November 17, in Levering hospital, Hannibal. 

Mr. Scobee was born in Monroe county August 20, 1883, a son of the late Stephen and Lucy White Scobee.  He operated a farm near Florida until six years ago when he retired and moved to Perry.  He served many years as an elder in the Florida Presbyterian church. 
Survivors include his wife, the former Essie Lee Van Devander, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Harms of Kansas City, Mo., two sons, Lewis of Enumclaw, Wash., and William of Chicago, and five children.
