Sanford Edmond Cumley Farmer Called The death of Sanford E. Cumley occurred very suddenly Monday afternoon when they were taking him to Denver for treatment in one of the city's hospitals. Mr. Cumley had been suffering severely with asthma and other troubles for some time and just after the train left Eckley, he passed away. The body was taken off at Yuma and brought back to Wray that evening. Mr. Cumley was a man of 56 years of age and had moved to Yuma County nine years ago, locating on a farm seven miles southeast of Wray where they resided at the time of his death. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Friday), at 2:00 o'clock at the Christian Church in Wray and will be conducted by Elder D.A. Brown, their pastor. Mr. Cumley leaves a wife, five sons, Chester and Clyde, who reside in this county, Robert of Kansas City, Missouri, and two younger sons, Harvey and Harold; two daughters, Ola and Beuhla, and Mrs. C.E. Stratton of Creed, this state. Mrs. Stratton arrived yesterday, and the son Robert is expected today. He also leaves three brothers, H.D. Cumley of Selma, California; Will of Paris, Nebraska, and Robert of Collinsville, Oklahoma; together with two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Garnet of Kansas City, Missouri and Mrs. Belle Woods of Macon, Missouri. They have not heard as yet who of the brothers and sisters will be able to attend the funeral. Interment will be made in the Grand View Cemetery.
