Sylvia Fay Smith

Sylvia Fay Smith, 88, of Paris, formerly of Madison, died at 12:20 pm Monday at Monroe Manor in Paris.  Mrs Smith was born Aug 27, 1908 in Holliday, a daughter of the late James and May Dry Jones.  She moved to Paris 12 years ago from Madison.  Mrs. Smith was a member of the Pleasant Green Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Wilbur and Maurine Smith, Crestwood; one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and James Tisdel, Stevenson, Ala; one sister, Goldie Forsyth, Paris; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Thursday at Million-Taylor-Patton Funeral Home in Madison.  Rev. James Tisdel will officiate.  He will be assisted by the Rev. Scott Perry.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Moberly.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home in Madison.
